Finally: Shiloah Pool to be Excavated!

The Ancient Pool of Siloam, located in the City of David National Park in Jerusalem to be Fully Excavated and Opened to the Public.


Due to its enormous significance, the Pool of Siloam, one of Jerusalem’s most important sites, has been a focal point for archeologists and scholars from around the world for over 150 years with the aim of discovering and uncovering the Pool. For the first time in modern history, the Pool of Siloam will be fully excavated and opened to the public.

The Israel Antiquities Authority, the Israel National Parks Authority, and the City of David Foundation are pleased to announce the commencement of the excavation of the historic Pool of Siloam in Jerusalem.
