With Gedalya's (last governer of Israel) death, the last ember of Jewish autonomy in the aftermath of the destruction of the First Temple was distinguished. Gedalya was forwarned but paid no heed. 1) Today the warning is clear, don't be with your head in the sand. 2) Seeing that we are now entering into the reverse (Zech 8) where fasts will turn into feasts, we pray that the spark of Mashiah will bring true governance back into the world, and that the Temple will be rebuilt.
