The Menorah stands central to the story of Hanukkah.
In this picture is an ancient and biblically-accurate depiction of the Menorah, found in one of the priestly houses in Jerusalem during the time of the Temple, dating back to 70 CE."

Exodus (25:31-39):
“...a lampstand of pure gold…Six branches shall issue from its sides…On one branch there shall be three cups shaped like almond-blossoms, each with calyx and petals.”
The story of Hanukkah did not happen in a bubble, and history seems to repeat itself. King David in Psalm 23 says something very significant, and the English translation doesn't capture it correctly.
Psalm 23:3
.ַ...ינְחֵנִי בְמַעְגְּלֵי-צֶדֶק, לְמַעַן שְׁמוֹ
The word "ma-agal" doesn't literally mean "path", but "circle". So in essence, King David says: "You guide me in cycles of righteousness.
History repeats itself for you, to get it right. To break the broken cycle and to elevate G-d's world.
"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
- Winston Churchill
